What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Supplier Approval & Onboarding Specialist position at GloryBee Foods?
The Supplier Approval and Onboarding Specialist role is to execute activities in support of the internal supplier quality management program while ensuring a risk-based approach is used in ensuring supplier compliance with GloryBee programs and regulatory standards. The Specialist provides departmental support and serves as a liaison between Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Sales departments.
Documentation for New and Existing Suppliers
- Conducts a desk audit review of supplier documentation to aid in new supplier approvals
- Responsible for processing existing and new supplier approval workflow and updating/maintaining vendor master data
- Determines risk of supplier and existing ingredient by performing a supplier review, a risk-based hazard analysis and food safety plan review, working with supplier and Purchasing to mitigate risks
- Maintains updated supplier documents and reviews suppliers based on the internal review schedule
- Evaluates new suppliers for existing products by comparing specifications and other relevant documents
- Provides resolution to customer inquiries regarding product information, supply chain questions and customer questionnaires
- Maintains customer documentation portals including Tracegains, Repositrak, SafeFood 365°
- Revises existing internal product specifications as needed and update ERP system accordingly
- Drafts statements to meet customer and regulatory requirements for QA Management review
- Certificate of Analysis Creation as needed.
- Backup for New-Hire Quality Assurance Training.
