Summary
The Manager - Ocean Carrier Services position will support Senior Manager, Director and Executive Coordinators in commercial/operational activities and work closely with all teams. Their responsibilities include day to day communication for all OEM shipments. They will also be responsible for collecting monthly forecast from customers, spot inquiries, following up on variances within forecasts, and any other duties assigned by leadership group.

They will also be responsible for collecting monthly forecast from customers, spot inquiries, following up on variances within forecasts, and any other duties assigned by leadership group.
Responsibilities
- Primary
- Responsible for vessel allocation and planning on a monthly bases. Communicate plan with the commercial teams in US and Mexico
- Support Trade Lane managers for US to Middle East, US to West Africa and Mexico to USEC trades as needed
- Monitor and support on getting payments received on time from all OEMs
- Participate in system enhancement meetings and discussions on on-going AR
- Provide excellent C/S to all customers
- Support on full EDI implementation, including freight verify between OEMs and Glovis
- Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements
- Supervise and train junior members
- Continue to provide market study by obtaining market information thru multiple sources

- Discuss new business opportunities by visiting customers
- Review and follow these market trends and discuss with all team members for better service planning
- Assist in all spot inquiries worldwide
- Review all customs filing items, ie. AMS, ISF, FROB, etc and ensure compliance
- Help design, communicate, and coordinate new and existing services/programs as needed
