Summary
This position is responsible for completing daily inspection procedures for vehicles on the VPC line according to company and customer guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles on the VPC Line
- Complete daily inspection procedures on new vehicle exterior/interior features in search for defects and/or damages
- Ensure vehicles conform to quality standards and customer specifications
- Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner according to company guidelines and standards, SWIS policies and procedures
- Ensure quality standards
- Participate in daily startup meetings.
- Actively participate in Safety meetings.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company policies, safety guide lines, and procedures
- Customer service
- Works with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Alerts and communicates any quality concerns with Supervisor/Manager.
- Willfully performs other tasks as instructed by leadership.
- Other duties as assigned
- If needed, inspector fulfills various other roles such as driving, battery testing, installing accessories (such as floor mats, cargo nets, cargo trays, etc.) and reference materials (such as owner's manuals, multimedia guides, etc.) within the VPC department other than inspection.
- Ability to read and write and interpret and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and/or in writing.
- Ability to record and verify numbers.
- Must be detail oriented and safety conscious.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Associates Degree preferred
- 1 year experience in automotive, manufacturing, or processing preferred
- Must hold a valid Driver's license
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Stand/walk
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Carry up to 25 lbs.

- Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure based in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.

- The position is based out of Port Hueneme, CA
- Communication with employees and field partners will be primarily conducted via phone and email.
Salary : $50 - $125
