Summary
The Senior Manager, Operations is responsible and accountable for all Port Shreveport operational activities. Manage and direct all activities related to the operations and development of company objectives in the Yard, VPC, Rail and Body Shop departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Oversees all activities related to vehicle processing and shipping.
Develops, maintains, and monitors the production business plans for operations. Establishes production and quality control standards for all departments. Provide guidance for the development of process plans, including setting and achieving the operation objectives, personnel requirements, material needs, etc. Create / review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of production problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent production delays

Responsibilities
Oversees all activities related to vehicle processing and shipping.
- Responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
- Coordinates vehicle processing and logistics activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Reports to the General Manager on daily operational matters and issues.
- Works with internal and external customers to ensure GLOVIS meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensures managers are compliant with company activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing and retrieving production data reports.
- Ensures company training programs and policies are in place and ensures compliance with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations.
- Frequent and effective communication with direct reports, and members of the management team is critical. Daily communications and collaboration with the management team to ensure synergy exists between all departments.
- Monitors / evaluates quality of all processes and procedures of VPC Operations.
- Analyzes quality data to develop countermeasures to correct process deficiencies.
- Creates and changes departmental processes for continuous process improvement activities.
- Ensure daily plans are determined and communicated to all relevant departments and Team Members.
- Ensure the plans will effectively accomplish Company objectives.
- Assign responsibilities to Team Members.
- Monitor and make adjustments as needed.
