Summary
The Administrator, Vehicle Logistics will be expected to gather, construct and monitor data under DP, QC & Rail Ops for GLOVIS and its customers. Position will provide support in maintaining and surpassing acceptable quality levels in vehicle processing and transportation. Conduct investigative studies for the overall port, rail, dealership, trucking transportation quality processes, assist in scheduling, planning and executing ad-hoc internal / external audits and inspections for all rail, truck, ocean loading / unloading shipping. Expected to assist in comprehensive analysis of documents, processes and improvements alike.
Responsibilities
- Shadow supervisor, develop ability to operate independently carrying out orders in different locations / ramps / ports / yards nationwide at anytime
Travel to multiple locations when needed
Implement and maintain GLOVIS expected standards of 99.8% damage-freeStudy daily transportation damages and support in assigning A3 reports accordingly. Assist in contacting, gathering and responding to transportation related damages for assigned vendorsCommunicate with supervisor and team members alike the damage trends for a particular customer, dealer, service center, lane, ramp, port, load line, origin and destination ramp and transportation vendorIdentify and perform test loads and quality control monitoring for customer vehiclesMonitor and report findings to include trends, inconsistencies, abnormalities and foresight from VPC, customer Daily Reports and customer representativesIdentify and monitor issues resolution process and manage escalated items that need higher level attention through chain of commandAssist the Rail Operations Team with supervision and training of new employeesReview rail hold audits to ensure accuracyMaintain safe and healthy work environment and enforce organizational standards and adhering to legal regulationsConstruct, develop and conduct load line, yard, and lot audits using standardized audit procedures identical to customer PQE / AAR audits and understand audits for ocean / inland portsAssist in planning and conducting Port / VPC yard, Vendor fleet and Rail Origin / Destination Terminal Quality Audits
Contact and collaborate with In-Transit Repairs for any damage issues, trends and / or projectsContact, collaborate with ramp team for any damage reports, issues, trends and / or projectsComprehend and reference transportation and handling manuals, technical bulletins, load factors, weights as well as Standards Of Work for all customersEnsure that business goals, deadline and performance standards are metMiscellaneous and ad-hoc projectsMonitor all operational reports and logs (PBI, DR, BOL, A3) ad-hoc reports and miscellaneous
