GEAA (Greater Erie Auto Auction) is a leading independent auto auction in North of PA, dedicated to delivering high quality customer services for used vehicles wholesale. GEAA became a part of Glovis America family, Hyundai Motor Group in July 2022. GEAA continues to grow with more fleet and dealer accounts, and also digital presence.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team at GEAA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving sales growth. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets, expanding customer base, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role involves strategic planning, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and interacting with customers.
Compensation Range
$70,000 - $120,000 Per Year
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and objectives
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
- Set sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds these targets
- Team Management
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to the sales team
- Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress, set goals, and address any challenges

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers

Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty

Sales Operations

Setting the sale lineup for each week’s sale, working with the sales team to ensure proper placement of seller’s vehicles

Oversee the sales process from vehicle consignment to sale

Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations

Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency

Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management

Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the automotive industry, preferably in an auction environment
- Strong understanding of auto auction processes and the automotive market
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using CRM software (Edge Pipeline and Spark BI preferred)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in the Automotive or Sales experience Required
- 10 years of experience in the Automotive or Sales experience Preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods of time
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Ability to drive to and from the office (100% on-site job)
- Possibility of domestic travel - 20%
- Lift/Carry up to 25lbs
