What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner position at Glow Midwifery PLLC?
FNP to provide high-quality, inclusive primary care.
Description
About Us
Glow Midwifery is a small, midwife-owned practice located in Gilbert, Arizona. Our practice is built on the foundation of providing top-notch care to our patients while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for our team members. We enjoy building strong relationships with each individual in our care.
Our midwives attend births at two local hospitals and we maintain a comfortable and inviting office space for gynecology, prenatal, wellness, and now, primary care visits.
At Glow Midwifery, we are a close-knit team dedicated to supporting one another and our patients. We value emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to work well with others. We are a pioneering practice, and much of what we do is new for women’s health in our area. The practice was founded on the belief that we could do better - for ourselves and for our patients.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, inclusive primary care to our current patient population, which is largely adolescent and adult women. This part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week across 4–5 short days) is designed to fill the gaps in primary care that our clients often face — with a focus on thoughtful, relationship-based care that reflects Glow’s model.
The FNP will independently manage common outpatient concerns, providing both in-person care at our Gilbert location and telehealth visits. This is an opportunity to practice in a peaceful, respectful setting where you have time to build real relationships with your patients — and to be part of a supportive team that takes pride in delivering warm, personalized care.
Common Primary Care Needs Include: anxiety, depression, thyroid disorders, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma, dermatologic concerns, acute illnesses, and infections.
Common Procedures Include: skin biopsies, wart removal, cerumen disimpaction, cyst drainage, minor wound care and suturing, injections, and vaccines.
You may also occasionally cover low-complexity office visits for a midwife called out to a birth. You will not be expected to manage complex obstetric or gynecologic issues, or to attend births.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional development and growth within our practice. We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and strive to accommodate custom schedules and workloads for our team members. Paid time off, paid holidays, CME stipends, malpractice insurance, and reimbursement for professional fees are all offered.
