Responsibilities:
About the role
The Facilities Project Coordinator will assist the AVP Facilities Operations with the company's short term and long term goals and objectives. This position will assist with the monitoring and update of key Facilities reports relating to the company's facilities including occupancy, terms, etc. This team member also has contact with vendors, brokers, property management, and corporate offices. The Facilities Project Coordinator will provide support to the Facilities department and the population of GM Financial in general with issues relating to the facilities that GM Financial occupies or is considering for occupation. This team member will assist the AVP Facilities Operations with facilities related projects and issues.
In this role you will:
- Maintain all information in central repository as it relates to GM Financial property commitments including but no limited to reports, space plans, lease/vendor agreements accurately and timely
- Maintain service tickets/orders for assigned areas of responsibility
- Inspect assigned areas of responsibility to ensure they are maintained to GMF requirements
- Develop orders and check requests
- Assist with office expenses
- Assist with the management of simultaneous construction projects and schedules
- Coordinate the purchasing, delivery and installation as required including, but not limited to furniture, cabling, phone systems, etc
- Maintain lease information
- Assist with the coordination of the Engineering department
- Assist with space planning
- Update space plans for all required locations
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Understanding of building and construction terms
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, and Project
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills
- AutoCAD preferred
- Possess the ability to review construction documents
- Possess the ability to work independently and authoritatively to meet deadlines
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate Degree preferred
- 2-4 years of relevant experience required
