The Purchasing Support Specialist is responsible for helping to manage our inventory and vendor relations, reduce expenses, increase profit margins, and other actions vital to our continued growth.
The Purchasing Support Specialist will provide support to all members of the Purchasing Department, as well as undertake daily tasks and projects to contribute to departmental goals. Personal goals will also provide crucial steps toward employee development and growth within the organization.
Requirements for success:
- Follow up on purchase orders to ensure vendor acknowledgment and ship dates
- Work with vendors to report and correct shipping discrepancies
- Manage pricing updates by compiling and uploading new data
- Monitor incoming and outgoing communications
- Monitor open purchase orders for past-due materials
- Assist Sales and Customer Service Departments with projects
- Assist with pricing updates
