Position: Field Service Technician / Mechanic
Location: San Juan, Texas
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician / Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, preferably within a dealership environment. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding heavy machinery, including hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrains, engines, and Tier IV Emissions systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrains, engines, and Tier IV Emissions systems.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients regarding equipment issues and repair timelines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, with a preference for dealership experience.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery, including hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrains, engines, and Tier IV Emissions systems.
- Experience with failure analysis procedures and warranty claim processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including equipment repair software.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and varying weather.
