Job Description
The Construction Manager is responsible for the management of assigned projects. You will be required to work with customers and the project management team to ensure the organization of GNB resources, onsite material, the supervision of onsite crews including subcontractors and directing the completion of GNB projects with the focus of completing them on time, on budget, in scope, following all safety practices and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain the GNB brand and positively represent the Company with all clients, employees, trade and supply chain partners
- Oversee the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Ensure clearly communicated progress on assigned projects daily
- Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrating active and positive leadership and providing the best service possible
- Adhere to contract deadlines though managing relationships with site manager and coordination of GNB resources, including the organization and coordination of lead hands and crews and materials
- Make effective and efficient decisions when organizing and coordinating GNB projects that take into account timeline, cost and contract deadlines
- Ensure GNB Quality, Safety and construction methods and standards are applied to every building, everyday, and ensure everyone onsite follows all required safety regulations
- Proactively identify, address and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur
- Supervise and support lead hands and installation crews
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, project management team and installation crews
- Communicate with customer to ensure project is completed to customer’s satisfaction
- Procure materials for projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A combination of education or expertise in project management/construction management (college degree in engineering or project management) and/or 3 years of relatable experience in project management in the construction field
- Experiencing in drafting/engineering or plan reading
- Supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and the ability to implement and maintain standards
- Reliable, punctual, honest, hard working, organized, attention to detail, credibility, and confident to do the right thing
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task with ease
- Self starter with a strong work ethic and a self-imposed desire to exceed everyday expectations
- High degree of technical accuracy
- Sound decision-making and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Collaborate with GNB team members through regular meetings to ensure completion of projects
- The ability to travel both in US and Canada and work on-site.
- 75% travel
- Valid Drivers License
- Clear Criminal Record
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test including Marijuana
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
