Description of Duties
Job Summary :
Conducts interviews and determines if WIC applicants meet the eligibility criteria within the Georgia WIC program. Processes information, updates client profiles, assists with voter registration, and completes data collection and entry into Georgia Gateway & GA-WIC. Educates clients on WIC rights and responsibilities and use of benefits. This position is heavily customer service-focused and requires communication via email, phone, video conference and in person.
Qualifications
Minimum :
High school diploma or GED AND Six months of experience handling customer's questions, complaints and / or providing information.
Preferred :
Experience working in the WIC program.
Previous experience working with SNAP, Medicaid, or other public assistance programs.
3 or more years working in an administrative role with scheduling, clerical work, and data entry.
3 or more years working Customer service in a healthcare, social services, or government setting.
2 or more years proficient experience using Microsoft products.
Experience using GRITS, GA WIC, and / or GA Gateway.
Bi-Lingual - English & Spanish preferred.
Experience interviewing & assessing eligibility of patients.
