Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders within the healthcare sector.
Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs and improve healthcare operations.
Analyze current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
Create detailed functional specifications, reports, and data models based on business requirements.
Translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights and ensure that business solutions are aligned with organizational goals.
Assist with the integration of healthcare systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems (PMS), and other health IT systems.
Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Support the testing phase of new healthcare solutions and ensure systems meet business and technical requirements.
Provide training and support to end-users on new systems, processes, and technologies.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
Develop dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
3 years of experience as a Healthcare Business Analyst or in a similar business analysis role within the healthcare industry.
Strong knowledge of healthcare industry processes, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, ICD-10, HL7).
Experience with healthcare management systems, EHRs, and healthcare IT infrastructure.
Proficiency in data analysis, business intelligence tools, and reporting (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
Ability to create clear and concise documentation and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with healthcare workflows and process optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile methodology and working in Agile environments.
Familiarity with healthcare-specific standards such as HL7, CCD, and CCDS.
Certification in healthcare business analysis (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP) or other relevant certifications.
Familiarity with data modeling and database design.
Experience with cloud-based healthcare solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
