We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our growing IT team in Atlanta, GA. This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of working both onsite and remotely. Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Provide network support, including troubleshooting and resolution of network issues.
Monitor network performance, and proactively address potential issues.
Implement network security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the efficient operation of all network systems.
Assist with network upgrades and integration of new hardware/software.
Document network configurations, changes, and other network-related activities.
Provide assistance with network-related projects and deployments.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar IT/networking role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.).
Hands-on experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
Proficient with network management and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).
Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL, etc.) and remote access solutions.
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid network environments.
Experience with network security practices (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network , etc.) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SD-WAN solutions.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for network automation.
Familiarity with network performance optimization techniques.
