Position Overview:
As The Home Centers and Strategic Accounts Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, and more importantly, expanding our client base of big box, national accounts, and other strategic accounts. Your ability to effectively communicate, analyze client needs, and provide tailored solutions will contribute to the overall success of our organization. Experience Needed:
· Proven experience gaining sales with big retailers through account management and business development (Sales to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, etc)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Marketplace intelligence gathering
· Negotiation and deal closing with buyers
· Thorough knowledge of THD and Lowe’s digital supplier platforms and POS
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the long- and short-term strategies with primary responsibility of winning placement into stores, .com, and PRO businesses
- Create and foster relationships with merchants and leaders to develop growth strategies.
- Cross-functional communication with sales, marketing, and operations staff to develop programs and initiatives
- Assists in establishing sales objectives in conjunction with the VP of Sales and Marketing
- Analyzes and informs senior management of industry, product, economic, and other changes that may impact sales and overall company business; provides timely summary of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in the business and product planning.
- Performs analysis on assigned accounts for opportunities and develops forecast for sales by product and other statistical reports as required on a timely basis
- Responsible for initial sales volume plan, contributes to overall team plan strategies, goals, and metrics, including sales, margins, profit plan, inventory and product programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Occasional Travel (but know this position generally works in-office and is not remote or hybrid).
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree Preferred
· Proven experience (3 or more years) as a home center or national accts manager
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing product launches that drive measurable results and achieve business objectives.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
· Creative thinker with a strong business acumen and a passion for innovation and driving growth.
· Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
· Experience in the floor covering, turf, or textile industry.
