Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our hospitality organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping, and supporting management with financial reporting—all within a fast-paced hospitality environment. Must have hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management: Record and process daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
- Reconciliation: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage billing processes, vendor payments, and collections to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee the processing of payroll and maintain accurate employee records together with HR.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for management review.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budgeting activities, perform variance analyses, and contribute to financial forecasting.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific financial standards.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external accountants during audits and assist with tax preparation.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors and manage contractual and payment documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, and POS software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with hospitality-specific accounting practices (such as revenue management and cost control) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in an office setting.
- Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
