Overview
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to manage office operations and ensure smooth daily functions. This vital role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a passion for supporting the mission of The Goathouse Refuge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the office, ensuring that office supplies, equipment, and facilities are maintained.
- Customer Service: Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and provide top-tier customer service to staff, volunteers, and guests.
- Licensing: Ensure that all necessary licenses and permits are current and compliant.
- Event Planning: Assist with the coordination and planning of events and fundraising activities.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate records for employees.
- Administrative Duties: Handle general clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
- Mail & Packages: Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages in an organized manner.
- Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive information, maintaining discretion in all aspects of office management.
- Supply Orders: Order and manage inventory of cat food, medications, and supplies as requested.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in office software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
- Vendor Relations: Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to addressing issues that arise.
- Experience: Previous experience in office management or administrative roles is preferred.
Job Details:
- Type: Full-time
- Pay: $18/hour to start, with potential to increase to $20/hour after 30 days.
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, no nights.
- Location: In-person at Pittsboro, NC 27312 (relocation required before starting work).
