The Godfrey Hotel Detroit will be the fifth Godfrey to be opened by Chicago based Oxford Hotels & Resorts, and first operated as a member of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
With existing locations in Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, and Tampa, The Godfrey Hotel Detroit is the next critical expansion in the rapidly growing brand and an exciting opportunity to build on and solidify the Godfrey reputation as unique, guest-centric lifestyle hotels with compelling food & beverage offerings.
The Godfrey Hotel Detroit, Curio Collection by Hilton will be located in the heart of rapidly evolving Corktown along Michigan Ave. and will have 227 comfortably contemporary guestrooms and suites; a ground-floor signature restaurant; downtown Detroit’s largest ballroom; and a rooftop bar/lounge with retractable roof and window walls that offer panoramic views of the Detroit skyline from the heart of its oldest and most storied neighborhood.
Position Summary
The Director of Hotel Operations at The Godfrey Detroit is responsible for leading the daily operation of core hotel functions, overseeing the Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Valet Parking and and working closely with Revenue Management - in order to ensure outstanding guest service execution, employee motivation and financial profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a full suite of technical/operational skills, but more importantly, will possess the highly-developed interpersonal skills necessary for leadership and motivation of an outgoing operations team.
A seasoned Director of Operations or Director of Rooms is preferred, but we will seriously consider proven managers/directors ready to take on this role as a key member of a dynamic executive leadership team.

Requirements:
- Considerable knowledge in all areas of hotel management.
- Considerable prior experience with annual revenue and expenses budgets, and reforecasting exercises
- Strong managerial skills as position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadlines, negotiations of contracts of vendors, analytical ability and the planning, organizational development, and coordination of large scale work projects.
- Ability to provide focus, counsel and direction to all direct reports and managers.
- Ability to develop and implement improvement programs.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, operational softwares, and ability to become efficient completing corporate assigned spreadsheets.
- Prior hotel opening experience preferred

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
