Applications Analyst 1
The Applications Analyst 1 position specializes in managing applications that support business units within the firm. This role requires strong analytical abilities to evaluate business needs or issues and design solutions. This could involve collaborating with vendors (projects) or utilizing internal tools to build solutions (reports, dashboards).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage applications (servers, patches, license, renewals, etc.)
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve faults and errors in applications
- Back up and upgrade existing applications
- Manage application security, including user access controls and permissions
- Address and remediate security vulnerabilities as identified and communicated by the security team
- Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures for applications
- Utilize AI tools to automate routine tasks and enhance decision-making processes, as approved by AI Governance team
- Innovate and analyze new ways to enhance efficiency
- Test applications and document the results
- Troubleshoot Help Desk tickets
- Support and collaborate with the Network team
- Act as an IT stakeholder in PMO projects
RELEVANT SKILLS
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with internal (G&K) and external (vendors) users
- Communicate technical problems and solutions to non-technical users or stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and reporting solutions
- Understanding of IT security principles and practices
- Proficiency in AI and machine learning tools and techniques
- Ability to meet deadlines for projects and application renewals
- Proactive and able to prioritize work when critical issues arise

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant work experience in system applications, preferably within a law firm (MECM/SCCM, MS Power Platform, IT Patch Process)
- Experience in setting up and configuring application services
- Experience with IT security tasks, including vulnerability assessments
- Experience with AI and machine learning applications
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This is a full-time position
- Must be willing to visit the Milwaukee office occasionally, if outside of the Milwaukee area
- Hybrid approach (WFH and In Office)
