Godfrey's Feed is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Commodities Trading Division. Godfrey's is a family-owned business located in Madison, Georgia that was established in 1879. We are proud of our reputation in the Agriculture industry for the quality of product and services we provide. The Commodities Trading Division is responsible for purchasing and trading grain and feed ingredients for Godfrey's as well as feed mills and farmers located in the region. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clerical duties, including, but not limited to, preparing invoices, data entry, answering phones, reviewing invoices received for grain delivery, reconciling, filing, organizing documents, scanning, updating Google sheets, and providing support to management. Requires proven customer service and computer skills, great reading and comprehension abilities, and attention to detail. Experience with billing and invoicing is a plus.
Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, or in another relevant administrative role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Must have above average keyboarding/typing skills
- Working knowledge of office equipment and skilled in the use of all MS Office applications
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Valid driver's license
Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software applications.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience with billing and invoicing is a plus.
