Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Facilitate community integration by encouraging participation in social activities and outings.
- Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and other professionals to coordinate care.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with home community care practices is advantageous.
- Training in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Experience in senior care or patient monitoring can be beneficial.
- Background in social work or home health services is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
