We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various duties related to materials handling, warehouse management, sorting, and shipping/receiving. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the operation of equipment such as pallet jacks.
Duties:
· Sort packages by zip code for delivery by DSP
· Supervise temporary workers during the sorting process.
· Train temporary workers in sorting procedures and best practices.
· Communicate with DSPs to resolve delivery issues.
· Identify and establish potential partnerships with new DSPs.
· Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs as needed
· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines
· Keep the warehouse clean and organized
· Coordinate truck dispatch and ensure smooth delivery operations.
· Design efficient delivery routes for drivers to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
· Track and manage exception cases, including damaged, lost, or delayed parcels.
· Work closely with relevant teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Other tasks assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping and receiving role is essential.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a significant advantage.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
- Experience with package sorting and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and stock management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Chinese/Mandarin is required.
