Description
The Administrative Assistant performs accounting support functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: accounts payable, accounts receivable, freight processing and brokerage all within the accounting software, Agris.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Accurate processing of customer invoices
· Sorting of daily mail and/or paperwork received
· Entry of daily deposit
· Accurate processing of payables
· Customer service - i.e., informing customers of contract status, billing issues, shipment issues, etc.
· Keeping accurate and organized files including scanning all documents into our paperless file storage program.
· Processing of freight payables for all entries.
· Office supply ordering
· Assist with other departments as needed.
· Cross-train with other departments as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), required. Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related accounting experience, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
- Ability to navigate an office environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
Salary : $20 - $25
