Freight Broker

Job Overview:

Gold Star Transportation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist in the coordination of freight shipments, build relationships with carriers and clients, and support the logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and coordinating freight shipments from start to finish.
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to secure the best pricing and services.
• Track shipments and provide updates to clients.
• Handle documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Utilize logistics software and tools to manage freight operations.
• Assist in resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the shipping process.
• Support senior brokers with market research and data analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of logistics and transportation concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
