Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Client Guidelines Specialist to join its Albany or Buffalo office. This Client Guidelines Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of client guidelines within the firm. This role involves review and analysis of guidelines for both new and existing clients, drafting and updating guideline summaries and rules, and maintaining comprehensive records in the firm's Client Guideline Management System.
This role is eligible to be on a hybrid work schedule after on-site training is completed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: :
- Review and analyze Guidelines for new & existing Clients daily.
- Draft, prepare and/or update Client Guideline summaries and rules in the firm’s system daily.
- Upload applicable documents and client/matter IDs for new & existing Clients into the firm’s system daily.
- Maintain the firm’s Client Guideline Management System as new and/or updated information is retrieved.
- Maintain list of IDs in Client Guideline System for historical knowledge and tracking purposes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of existing, new, and updated client guidelines.
- Regularly work closely with attorneys, paralegals, other legal professionals and firm administrative staff to educate and encourage compliance of client guidelines.
- Provide support to internal staff on Client Guidelines and best practices, as needed.
- Assist in making determinations for Standard Firm Guideline exemption requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE: :
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex guidelines and procedures.
- Working knowledge of purpose and significance of guidelines and the implications of poor compliance
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case management software.
- Regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in English
- Strong organization and time management skills
- May be requested to work beyond normal work hours and weekends for special projects
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
- Ability to recognize the need for confidentiality of information and to maintain such confidences
- Ability to effectively communicate, and nurture working relationships with all levels of management, staff, clients, and insurance claim representatives.
- Ability to respond to internal or external inquiries, including those of a sensitive, confidential, or adversarial nature
