Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing property leasing processes, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication with prospective and current residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property leasing and facilities management, along with excellent sales skills to promote our available units.
Responsibilities
- Assist prospective tenants in finding suitable rental properties by providing information on available units and conducting property tours.
- Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, including screening applicants and preparing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and other relevant documentation using property management software such as OneSite.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating strong conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
- Promote available units through various marketing channels to attract potential tenants.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with current residents to ensure satisfaction and encourage lease renewals.
- Maintain a professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients and vendors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively market properties and close deals.
- Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite or similar systems is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and documents efficiently.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management abilities and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with tenants.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
