Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha POS system or similar technology.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Uphold restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, especially in fine dining establishments.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong guest relations skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous but not required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
