What are the responsibilities and job description for the CORP BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST position at Golden Entertainment?
Summary :
Responsible for the development, maintenance, and training on all BI solutions to enable data-driven decision making within the corporation. Works as part of a team to design, build, deploy, support, and train on our BI solutions platform. Supports creation of ad-hoc queries using Transact SQL (T-SQL) and the creation of report solutions using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SAS Visual Analytics / VIYA, Tableau, and OLAP cubes.
Essential Functions :
- Create ad-hoc data queries using T-SQL against Golden Corp Data Warehouse
- Assist with implementation / review of data quality improvement processes and initiatives
- Develops enhancements to the data warehouse.
- Provide support and expertise to business partners to assist with increased utilization of BI tools
- Assist the Business Intelligence team in understanding data requirements from source systems for inclusion into the Business Intelligence platform
- Maintain alerts to ensure all daily jobs execute properly, provide corrective actions if needed to ensure successful execution
- Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to establish a vision for providing BI solutions
- Develop milestones and timelines while managing small-to-mid scale projects
- Participate in the evaluation of new BI tools for incorporation into the BI toolset
- Develop methodologies and processes for turning customer transaction data into actionable information to be utilized by properties and corporate marketing teams
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
