What are the responsibilities and job description for the GPL HOST/CASHIER position at Golden Entertainment?
Summary :
As a host / cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to guests at the beginning and end of their dining experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Seat guests and present clean menus in a timely manner
- Proper completion of cash turn-in sheets and tickets, voids, and over-rings
- Maintain register area clean and neat
- Assist servers with ringing in and delivering alcoholic beverages
- Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting
- Ensure tables are properly set to start each shift
- Collect and inspect all menus, discarding those that are worn out
- Utilize proper procedures and documentation in handling the following : comps, room charges, credit cards, officers checks and coupons
- Pick-up bank at cage, count all monies before leaving, and verify with cage personnel
- Contact supervisor immediately for any guest concerns or complaints
- Extend an invitation to all guests to dine with us again and thanking them for dining with us
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedure, Title 31, and federal regulations if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meet the companies guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
