Wheatland Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school. Their Mission Statement is “Lead with Confidence, learn without limits, and love who you are.” This teaching position works within our Green Zone Program, which is a multi-age classroom that assists students with a variety of academic, behavioural and social-emotional supports. In addition, this role includes working collaboratively with all school staff and within the Inclusive Education Team, therefore strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong 21st century teaching skills including learning design that ensures high student engagement, critical thinking skills, inquiry, and the use of technology as a learning tool.
