What are the responsibilities and job description for the VIP TABLE HOST position at Golden Nugget?
Overview :
It is the responsibility of the VIP Table Host to promote business and upsell product in Rush Lounge and / or Gold Diggers Nightclub while maintaining an upbeat and positive demeanor in a world class nightclub. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Companys brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities :
Assists and takes direction from Director-Night Life in order to promote fast, courteous table service to customers.
Familiarizes self with property events and programs so correct information is given to guests.
Familiarizes self with, and adheres to, the principles of excellent guest service and interactive skills.
Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to guests.
Communicates professionally and courteously when interacting with guests and fellow co-workers.
Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
Follow established procedures for cash handling, credit cards and comps.
Anticipate the guests needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor.
Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
Complete opening side duties fold / stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
Picks up dirty glassware and ashtrays from assigned station and return them to the Service Bar.
Inform Apprentice Bartender of needed supplies.
Communicate orders into system through Bartender ensuring transmission is verified.
Bid farewell to guests, using guests name when known, and encourage them to return.
Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
Turnover / Takeover station according to established procedures.
Relay all guest compliments and complaints to the manager on duty.
Adhere to policies and procedures and liquor laws.
Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
At least 6 months of experience as a Cocktail Server in a high volume environment.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine / champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum age requirement is 21
