What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Golden Oaks Village of Stillwater?
The Maintenance Assistant will play a crucial role in renovating properties and maintaining the grounds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, including painting, wall repair, and fixture changes
- Mow, edge, and weed outdoor areas
- Comply with health and safety regulations and remove waste from facilities as needed
- Manage the routine upkeep of outdoor areas, building exteriors, and parking lots
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Basic working knowledge of general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, construction and repair
- Proven practical skills in areas such as carpentry, decorating, and plumbing
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Customer service skills
- Physically able to stand, walk, reach, pull, push, lift and crouch repeatedly
- Knowledge of tools and equipment including cleaning products and chemicals
- Knowledge of common maintenance procedures and safety measures
- Routine heavy lifting
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations is helpful
- Ability to work as part of a team
