Overview
The Human Resources Manager, Corporate office plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s Corporate HR strategy initiatives. The Manager partners with leaders to ensure HR policies and practices align with corporate objectives while championing a culture of continuous learning, growth, and engagement. Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees Human Resources strategies to ensure the implementation, administration, and dissemination of information regarding all Human Resources functions including recruitment, employment, training, employee relations, labor relations, management development, employee programs, workers’ compensation, payroll, compensation, and benefits for exempt, non-exempt, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, Title VII).
- Provides general expertise in HR functions to designated departments. Advises and provides recommendations on employee relations opportunities, workforce and succession planning, position descriptions, performance management, mediations, on/off-boarding and goal planning.
- Monitor legislation and administrative rulings regarding Wage & Hour, FLSA, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and any other pertinent federal and state legislation to ensure Company compliance.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring processes align with current and future workforce needs. This includes recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees to achieve required staffing levels, selection of the best qualified candidates and a best-in-class onboarding experience for new employees.
- Consults and partners on employee relations, including investigating employee complaints, harassment or discrimination concerns and makes recommendations on the appropriate course of action in partnership with the key stakeholders, including Corporate Legal. Investigations may be a result of an allegation, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), unfair treatment, sexual harassment, or discrimination claim.
- Performs and leads the locations HR metrics and other analytics responsibilities, and partners with HR technology implementations, optimization and vendor management.
- Partners with the HR budget management and cost control process for the corporate office.
- Leads and provides guidance specific to performance management to ensure program effectiveness. Partners and provides guidance for change management needs.
- In partnership with leadership, and within GSF Creed and Values, leads employee engagement strategies to include leading employee surveys, feedback sessions and appropriate actions plans to maintain an engaged workforce.
- Develops, recommends, and communicates strategies for enhancements to Human Resources Programs to include process/customer improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
- Travel Expectations: 10%, predominantly within the region and periodically outside the region

Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field
- 7-10 years of experience as an HR Generalist with at least 5 in a leadership/supervisory role
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and solid working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make formal presentations
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity, and frequent change, provide constructive feedback and balance workload with multiple and competing priorities
- Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing successfully with front-line internal and external customers
- Experience in administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing
Preferred:
- PHR/SHRM certification from Human Resources Certification Institute, or Society for Human Resource Management
- Master’s Degree in HR management or related field
