Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Prepare patients for X-Ray and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or clinic.
- Manage patient scheduling, including follow-up appointments.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Support coding and documentation processes for accurate patient records.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans and medications.
- Collaborate with other medical staff in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare setting.
- Experience or knowledge in hospital medicine, including familiarity with various departments such as Dermatology and Medical-surgical units.
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely patient assessments.
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Familiarity with coding practices for accurate billing and insurance processing.
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and protocols is an advantage.
- Capability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of a Level I Trauma Center.
