Job description

Position Summary: 

We are looking for hard working individuals to join our team! At Goldflower the On Call-As Needed employment opportunity is a position where employees are called to work when the business requires additional assistance. These employees are rostered, have completed background checks, training, and step in to fill gaps in staffing, cover for an absent employee, or address special situations. As-needed employees are not guaranteed regular work; they only work when a department manager requests extra help. This arrangement allows them to earn extra money and choose shifts based on their availability. These employees are not included on the weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform plant care tasks: watering, transplanting, defoliation, and harvesting.
• Assist in post-production: bucking, trimming, packaging, and operating the pre-roll machine.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old to apply and pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
• Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
• A flexible schedule is required due to the nature of the On-Call role.
• Excellent attendance is a must.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing industry while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in environments with varying hot/cold temperatures, humidity, and exposure to plant life.
• Able to stand, squat, bend, twist, kneel, reach and work with your hands for extended periods while performing tasks.
• Ability to lift and move cannabis products and equipment up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Preferred (not mandatory) Experience:

• Previous experience in cannabis is beneficial .
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Experience working with trimming scissors.
• Greenhouse/Nursery experience
• Background in Agriculture
• Landscaping experience

Due to our non-compete policy, on-call candidates who are currently employed by another MMTC (Medical Marijuana Treatment Center) will not be considered for the position.
