Asset Management is the primary investing area of Goldman Sachs. What is the role?
We are looking for a passionate sustainability professional to build out and execute a communication strategy for sustainability and impact investing across AMD, one of the world's largest asset managers. Our objective is to have consistent internal and external messaging across all AMD's business lines in order to better serve our teams and clients in achieving our sustainability and impact investing objectives. Ultimately this should result in more investment capital (a) flowing to underserved people and places who are disproportionately impacted by climate transition and systemic inequality and (b) backing innovative commercial solutions that address pressing environmental and social challenges across the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing and creating content around sustainability and impact investing including:
- Creating a comprehensive messaging toolkit for GS professionals to explain the firm's and Asset Management Division's approach to sustainability and impact investing and its suite of relevant offerings
- Creating periodic thematic content, focused on sharing the firm’s ideas and insights on sustainability and impact investing, working closely with relevant experts internally and externally
- Creating transaction-related marketing content for clients, in close coordination with AMD client coverage and investing teams
- Help lead the adoption and on-going refinement of the aforementioned messaging tool kit, once created, in collaboration with investing teams to aid GS professionals in conversations with clients, industry leaders, community stakeholders, and policy makers
- Support development of educational ESG content for internal teams to stay abreast of newest trends and topics within Sustainability space.
- Create reporting materials detailing the division's sustainability and impact efforts, for use internally, with clients globally, and for bespoke situations.
- Work closely with GS’s Brand & Content team to develop Thought Leadership content for promotion through internal and external channels, including video, podcasts, and social media
- Create briefing materials for senior leaders speaking engagements, for both internal and external contexts
- Plan, write and edit AMD's internal and external ESG newsletter on a frequent basis
- Maintain social media content and platforms, foster media relations and develop press releases and announcements in collaboration with Corporate Communications.
- Execute creation and distribution of content via CRM system (Salesforce/Adobe)
- Assist with tracking of marketing reach and impact
- Keep and manage an archive of communications and content that can be easily referenced
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 3- 6 years of work experience
- Strong writing and presentation-creation skills
- Experience developing ESG and Sustainability client facing reports that align with common Sustainability frameworks (i.e. GRI, TCFD, SASB, DJSI, GRESB, etc.)
- Passion for helping solve entrenched challenges facing underserved people and places, including through capital market solutions
- Strong understanding of sustainability issues and ability to translate complex information into digestible and compelling content.
- Interest in public and private investment strategies
- Self-starting, highly proactive person who demonstrates initiative and ownership and can work with little direction on assignments
- Fast learner, ability to leverage personal and organizational network to drive results
- Ability to review and synthesize information and form independent judgments
- Impeccable attention to detail, particularly in written communications
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
