Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour $3.00/hour shift differential

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our automation team as a SynMed Robot Operator during the evening shift. This technician will be primarily responsible for operating and maintaining the SynMed automation robot for prescription filling and processing. After a thorough training period, the ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and must maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the SynMed automated medication packaging robot

• Accurately process prescriptions through the SynMed system for multi-dose or unit-dose packaging

• Verify packaging accuracy and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards

• Maintain machine functionality through basic troubleshooting and regular maintenance tasks

• Communicate with pharmacy staff to resolve order discrepancies and ensure timely processing

• Monitor inventory of canisters and materials related to SynMed operations

• Support pharmacy operations and perform related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Current Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred)

• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (LTC or automation experience a plus)

• Experience operating automation equipment (e.g., SynMed or equivalent) is highly desirable

• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity with minimal supervision

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment

• Proficiency with computers; experience with PioneerRx software is a plus

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to process improvement

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

• Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle medication packaging

• Frequent use of hands/fingers, speaking, and listening in a moderate-noise environment

Schedule & Compensation:

• Shift: Full-time evening shift, 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday

• Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour evening shift differential
