Job Description:
As a prime attorney candidate, you will work closely with our firm's owner, clients, opposing counsel, court, and administrative staff to effectively serve clients. This involves determining case strategies and solutions, providing legal counsel, and communicating effectively across all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
- Prepare and finalize legal documents, such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Strong decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while handling a heavy caseload
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Membership in local bar association - active member preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products
- Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
