Gong Cha West Hartford is looking for an experienced manager to join and lead our established team! We are looking for a someone to jump into a management role, working 35-40 hours a week with flexible scheduling. It’ll be your role to lead our team on the day-to-day basis, create scheduling, order stock and conduct inventory, and continue to create a welcoming and customer-oriented environment for our guests.

Management and customer service experience required. Servsafe certification required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction
- Train and supervise café staff, including scheduling shifts and providing ongoing training and development
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs to maximize profitability
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with the management team to develop menus, promotions, and special events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and cash handling
- Proven ability to effectively supervise and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with tea preparation techniques is desirable
- Previous experience as an assistant manager or in restaurant management is preferred
