We are seeking an experienced and innovative Pre-Sales Enablement Manager, focused primarily on supporting our global Sales Engineering team. The primary objective of this role is to enable the team to consistently deliver technical wins and drive net-new revenue growth for Gong.
This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands-on execution to elevate the performance of the global SE team and will report to the Director of Field Enablement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Execute Enablement Programs: Design and deliver a comprehensive quarterly enablement strategy to drive outcomes across Sales Engineering.
- Skill Development: Equip the SE team with the ability to position products effectively, craft compelling stories through demonstrations, and articulate business value and outcomes.
- Pre-Sales New Hire Ramp: Partner with Pre-Sales leadership and the GTM Onboarding team to decrease SE ramp time and become “customer-facing” ready in 4-8 weeks (or less).
- Training Delivery: Utilize diverse methods—such as in-person sessions, virtual classrooms, shadowing, and coaching—to upskill the SE team in demo delivery, storytelling, discovery, solution visioning, and technical qualification.
- Content Creation: Develop enablement materials, tools, and resources that are in service of delivering best-in-class enablement programs.
- Metrics and Adoption: Drive program adoption, track enablement effectiveness, and measure success against key performance metrics through Gong (Scorecards, trackers, initiative boards, etc).
- Build Relationships: Establish trust and credibility with SE leaders and team members. This role should be an extension of the SE team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field
- 2–5 years in a Pre-Sales enablement role
- Pre-Sales experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of Pre-Sales frameworks (Demo To Win, Great Demo, SPIN Selling, 6 Habits of a Highly Effective Sales Engineer)
- Presentation Skills: Strong communication, presentation and storytelling abilities, with experience engaging Pre-Sales and Sales teams at all levels.
- Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated proficiency in both technical and business concepts.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Operational Excellence: Experience with building and improving operational processes and rhythms to ensure consistency across the Pre-Sales organization. Things like technical qualification forms, pilot options, etc.
- Builder mindset: This is a builder role. We need someone who is not afraid to put hands on keyboard, do the work, and think big/outside of the box.
- Creativity: Innovative in designing and deploying training initiatives linked to measurable business outcomes.
- Team Player: Self-motivated and collaborative, with a track record of working effectively across teams and geographies.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $106,350 - $157,000 USD.
Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
