Job Purpose:
The Associate Vice President supports the division of Mission Integration at Gonzaga University. This position works in collaborations with and support of the Vice President, assists in the daily work of the division; to guide and lead strategic plans; collaborate with Jesuits, Boards, and university leaders.
Essential Functions:
- 25% - Strategic Leadership and Representation
- Serve as a partner to the Vice President for strategic and operational concerns.
- Represent the division of Mission Integration on the Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead sponsorship activities, including the Mission Priority Examen and its annual report.
- Serve as a leadership representative for the Office of Mission Integration.
- Assist in the development and assessment of strategic directions and plans for the division.
- 25% - Collaboration and Relationship Building
- Collaborate with other university divisions, including the Office of Inclusive Excellence, Human Resources, and Marketing and Communications.
- Cultivate relationships with department leadership across campus.
- Collaborate on mission formation efforts with the Board of Trustees and Board of Regents.
- Work with University Advancement on programs and opportunities for Alumni.
- 20% - Mission-Centric Initiatives and Communication
- Lead divisional efforts related to marketing, communication, and social media, ensuring mission-centric language and collaboration with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- Serve as the point person for the sponsorship of the Ladauto Si Action Platform.
- Report on divisional offerings for the strategic plan and university accreditation.
- Collaborate with offices and departments on mission-related elements of their strategic plans and initiatives.
- Assist the Vice President with mission interviews of faculty finalist candidates.
- 15% - Supervision
- Meet regularly with direct reports.
- Engage in performance management and goal setting for direct reports.
- Supporting and mentoring direct reports in their work and their support of indirect reports, including student employees.
- Establish professional standards, hiring procedures in collaboration with Human Resources, onboarding and offboarding.
- Additional Duties as Assigned by the Department
Educational Requirement:
Terminal Degree
Years of Related Experience Requirement:
5 years
In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.

Strong understanding of Jesuit, Catholic mission and education
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $110,000 - $115,000
