Gozo Bros Landscape is seeking a motivated and experienced Lawn Service Crew Lead to oversee daily lawn care operations and ensure high-quality service for residential and commercial properties. This role requires leadership, hands-on work, and the ability to manage a team while maintaining efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Management
- Lead a team of lawn care technicians to complete scheduled jobs efficiently and professionally.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper lawn maintenance techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
- Assign tasks and ensure all team members are working effectively.
- Conduct pre- and post-job inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Communicate with management about crew performance, job progress, and any issues.
- Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns to company standards.
- Perform fertilization, weed control, aeration, mulching, and other lawn treatments as needed.
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and trucks/trailers.
- Identify lawn health issues (diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies) and report them for proper treatment.
- Interact with clients professionally and address any concerns or requests.
- Provide recommendations for lawn improvement when necessary.
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
- Enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections before and after jobs.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in lawn care or landscaping, with leadership experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to operate landscaping equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (DOT is a required).
- Certifications: Gonzo Bros Training Certifcations are required to be completed prior to start date.
