We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the store, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision. Goo Goo Chocolate Co is not your average retail store; it is a tourist attraction, a legacy that has stood the test of time for over 100 years. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and personnel of Goo Goo Chocolate Co while successfully driving unit sales through a high velocity of production and outstanding customer service. Partnering with the Senior Sales Manager when scheduling events within the experience department is a key component of this position. Our General Manager leads management staff and employees by providing support through effective training and facilitates their development through coaching and accountability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
• Set culture standards that are in line with Goo Goo Cluster's vision and brand
• Assist in hiring process and retention of top talent
• Assist with new-hire training and cross-training efforts of existing team members according to company training program and guidelines
• Collaborate with the executive team to set SMART goals based on established KPIs
• Recognize performance issues and communicate details to HR in a timely fashion
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries and solutions
• Set a strong example of professionalism and leadership. Develop the next leaders for upward mobility
• Consistently build employee knowledge base by continuous engagement, training program execution, follow-up, and effective delegation of tasks
• Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Oversee the execution of LMS training modules
• Communicate team successes in morning rallies and conference calls
• Maintain a high level of integrity, e.g., adhering to loss prevention practices and policies, accurate employee timekeeping records, maintain employee confidentiality as it pertains to Goo Goo Cluster's policies
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized store and work location
• Manage inventory levels and ensure stock is replenished as needed
• Maintain and ensure employee permits and certifications are compliant with state and federal guidelines
• Oversee and report all maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Supervise and train staff to ensure they are providing exceptional service and meeting sales targets
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Manage budgets and expenses to ensure profitability
• Ensure all OSHA, safety, and sanitation compliance documents are current and in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Ensure reporting and documentation of employee or customer incidents are accurate and reported to HR according to company guidelines
• Maintain brand positivity partnerships with vendors, peers, as well as internal and external customers
• Partner with the executive team with new promotional ideas and strategies
• Ensure payroll processes, scheduling, and timesheets are completed by designated timelines
• Adhere to payroll budget and proactively notify HR if payroll budget is not in line with monthly plan
