This position performs administrative and customer service functions in support of the operations of the Treasurer's Office. The County Treasurer is an elected official, and all Deputy Treasurers are appointed and serve at the will of the Treasurer.** THIS IS A TEMPORARY PART TIME POSITION (29 HOURS A WEEK) FOR 18-24 MONTHS **
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance to customers. Receives and processes payments. Balances and closes cash register. Sorts and processes incoming and outgoing mail. Assists in maintaining office files and records. Scans office records. Processes bank deposits. Prepares a variety of regular and special reports. Assists in maintaining office supply inventory; reorders as needed.Performs other assigned duties
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
High school diploma or equivalent;Prior working experience in banking or accounts receivable preferred;Two (2) years of customer service or related work experience;Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and Valid State of Virginia Driver’s License with a driving record that meets HR Policy requirements.
