What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Supervisor position at Good Day Farm?
The Distribution Supervisor works with the Distribution manager on all Distribution requests for the facility including invoicing, tracking, route planning, and preparing products for sale.
- Plans, schedules and updates regulated product delivery routes to ensure weekly and monthly Sales goals are achieved.
- Leads training for new employees to ensure processes, procedures and department SOP’s are followed and employee performance adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates with Inventory Control Manager, Sales Staff and Marketing team to ensure the deployment of new product materials and scheduling of product deliveries.
- Supervises the manifest creation process for communication and transportation of regulated products; ensures state compliance rules are adhered to.
- Collaborates with various teams to provide updates and ETAs for product deliveries.
- Assists with management and execution of employee time and attendance, performance reviews and corrective actions / coaching.
- Ability to maintain a good driving record and to be added to company insurance as a backup delivery driver.
- Ensures drivers are knowledgeable, courteous and professional in all scenarios including regulatory compliance and product information; also, a special emphasis placed on driver safety.
- Monitors the maintenance of equipment, machinery and vehicles and adherence to company standards and maintenance schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in inventory/warehouse/distribution
- Cannabis experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions.
