POSITION SUMMARY
Each server’s primary objective is to ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service, while creating an exceptional experience for every single guest. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
- Identify first-time guests and give appropriate menu tours.
- Maintain impeccable knowledge of food, beverage, and bar processes and services, so you can answer questions and make meal recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Assist guests with special dietary needs.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter into POS system.
- Own the guest experience from placing the order, order delivery, and follow up throughout the meal.
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
- Perform running duties and side work at the beginning and end of each shift as assigned and required.
- Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant before, during and after service.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and offer timely assistance to customers to ensure that their needs are met. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
- A willingness to work with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Must have average to above average knowledge regarding beer, wine and spirits.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and safely lift up to 25 pounds.
