Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Special Events Sales Manager to drive the growth and success of event space sales across multiple locations. This position requires an individual with exceptional sales and customer service skills who is passionate about planning and coordinating special events. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event planning and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the hospitality or events industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Actively sell event space and services for multiple venues, achieving revenue targets and maximizing space utilization across locations.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and personalized event planning solutions.
- Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities, including corporate events, weddings, conferences, social gatherings, and other special events.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their event needs, budget, and expectations, and offer customized event solutions, including catering, audiovisual, and décor.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations with clients, prepare contracts, and ensure all event details are properly documented and executed.
- Collaboration with Operations: Partner with the operations team to ensure seamless event execution and high-quality client experiences.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about local event trends, competitor offerings, and industry standards to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies to attract new business.
- Event Execution Support: Assist in overseeing events to ensure the client’s vision is realized, managing on-site logistics, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in event planning, hospitality, or related field. Experience selling event spaces across multiple locations is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong sales skills and proven ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and event management tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
