Good Karma Brands Trainee Program (Start in BD)

Ready to launch your career into the media and sports marketing world? Good Karma Brands is seeking an entry-level candidate who is eager to get hands-on experience while learning from an award-winning team.
Good Karma Brands (GKB) is looking for full-time trainee teammate located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This will be a 24-month position, where you will participate in a wide range of responsibilities including content, marketing, sales, production, social media, community events and so much more. This role will provide real-world experience with on-the-job training and the opportunity to create compelling local content while working directly with local advertising partners. This position is designed to develop versatile teammates who, after 24 months, can earn an opportunity in one of Good Karma Brands’ media markets across the country. Daily Tasks during the Good Karma Brands Trainee Program:
- Hosting and producing local shows
- Announcing local high school play-by-play broadcasts
- Producing commercials, PSAs, imaging, and promos
- Prospect and form relationships with area businesses by adhering to Good Karma Brands’ sales process
- Assist with all marketing initiatives including promotions, events, contests, campaign execution, and social media
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to improve the overall sales, content, and marketing efforts
- Attend and represent Good Karma brands out in the community and at station events
- Attend company-wide training and development calls for on-going education
- Step into various positions as needed to ensure operational efficiency
- Other assigned tasks

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications
- All candidates must have less than two years of industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Audio and video editing skills
- Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker
- Excellent writing skills
- With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license
Hours/Salary/Benefits
Pay Transparency: The anticipated salary for Beaver Dam-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $40,000. This is a non-exempt role with a competitive base salary and overtime eligible for hours worked over 40 per week.
This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
