Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Safe House services and appropriate supportive housing for women that have been the victim of human trafficking, sexual violence and domestic violence, develop programs and resources and formulate case plans that promote moving towards self-sufficiency..
- Applicants for this position must be female to meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the location.
- Offer compassionate and non-judgmental support to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Listen to their stories, concerns, and needs, and provide emotional support throughout their journey to recovery.
- Conducts UA testing for clients as needed.
- Conduct a comprehensive initial needs assessment to identify the urgent requirements of the clients and take immediate action to address those critical needs promptly.
- Provide detailed orientation to the clients about the Safe House programs, outlining the necessary requirements and informing them about the potential consequences of non-compliance.
- Ensure that clients' basic nutrition and hygiene needs are met, and take necessary steps to provide them with adequate support in these areas.
- Interview and counsel potential clients interested in joining the Supportive Housing Programs, offering guidance and assistance throughout the process.
- Collaborate with clients to create a comprehensive case plan that is tailored to their specific needs, incorporating both short-term and long-term goals.
- Establish a timeline and measurable indicators for each goal, allowing for effective tracking of progress.
- Regularly schedule weekly sessions to monitor clients' advancements towards their goals, providing support and guidance throughout the process.
- Evaluate and make necessary adjustments to the case plans as needed, issuing written warnings with outlined consequences if satisfactory progress is not achieved.
- Create and guide group sessions, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, communication, and mutual support among participants
- Encourage clients to actively participate in their own planning and goal setting, empowering them to take ownership of their journey towards self-sufficiency.
- Refer clients to appropriate resources and services that can assist them in meeting their goals, ensuring they have access to the necessary support.
- Ensure consistent adherence to specific HUD program goals, while providing extensive case work to facilitate the transition from homelessness to permanent housing.
- Transports clients in the agency-provided vehicle for appointments as required.
- Record and enter relevant information, interactions, and services provided to clients into the ETO database and ECM in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with Safe House manager and presenting a safe group presentation to clients,
- Maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of the role. Adhere to professional codes of conduct, respect client confidentiality, and prioritize the well-being and rights of clients at all times.
- Be prepared to respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing immediate assistance and access to appropriate resources when needed.
- Responsible for promptly notifying the manager of any work orders that need to be submitted or supplies that need to be ordered.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings, ensuring timely completion of training, and accurately completing timecards.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent: A minimum educational requirement to demonstrate basic literacy and communication skills.
- Associate degree required Bachelor's degree is preferred.

- Experience in a homeless services setting: Prior experience working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness or substance abuse can provide valuable insight and knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with shelter residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Crisis intervention skills: Capacity to handle crisis situations and de-escalate conflicts.
- Empathy and compassion: Demonstrating genuine care and understanding for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Ability to work in a team: Collaboration and cooperation with other shelter staff, volunteers, and external agencies.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Google)
Required Qualifications:
