Upon completion, trainees are expected to apply for open Administrator positions promoting a culture of trust and engagement in senior services.
Responsibilities
Gather hands-on experience and necessary tools in a long-term care setting to learn competencies for licensure and leadership as a licensed administrator.
Work under the guidance of a preceptor to develop skills and obtain knowledge in managing resident services.
Complete 1000 hours of hands-on training in all departments of Long-term care, including Administration, Human Resources, Nursing, and more.
Coordinate self-study, on-the-job training, and live and virtual instruction for successful program completion.
Orientate others by creating a culture of trust and engagement, meeting location needs with adaptability to feedback and ongoing change.
Lead self by taking initiative, displaying a strong work ethic and dedication to personal development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare administration
- Work experience in a long-term care setting desired
- Must be able to meet eligibility for a Nursing Home Administrator's license or certification issued by the state upon successful completion of training
